How Fast Can You Swap Attachments?

Posted: 11/04/2016

Fast Attachment Changes

When you stop working to switch attachments, you’re taking valuable time away from your project. That’s why quick tach systems should be fast and easy. And with Power Bob-Tach™, that’s exactly how it works. Kubota®, Caterpillar®, Case® and New Holland® have tried to copy the original Bobcat® design, but when you compare each system side-by-side, the differences become clear. It’s true: there’s nothing as good as the original. Watch the test to see for yourself.

When you can quickly switch between attachments, you’ll spend less time preparing to work and more time actually getting the job done. How fast you can switch from a bucket to pallet forks, a hydraulic breaker, or any other attachment can impact your productivity. Most loader brands provide a powered system to  make fast attachment changes.

Wasting precious time changing attachments on the jobsite can impact your productivity. Bobcat developed  the Power Bob-Tach attachment system to make the process even faster. Other brands tried to copy the design. Do the other brands even come close? Watch the test results to find out.

As you can see, the Power Bob-Tach mounting system gives the operator a clear view to the attachment mounting points. Two levers fold down to engage a single hydraulic cylinder, locking the attachment in place. On Kubota, Caterpillar, Case, and New Holland loaders, it’s difficult to easily see the connection points, making attachment changes more time consuming.

How We Test Equipment

When you’re shopping for a new machine, it’s easy to compare specs. After all, that’s the best way to compare machines, right? Not quite. With specs, you’re only getting part of the story. They don’t measure real performance on your jobsite and that’s what matters most. It’s the reason we put top brands through the paces with fair, accurate, and repeatable tests. Watch to see how we developed the tests.
