How Easy is Routine Maintenance?

Posted: 10/16/2016

Faster Maintenance

Your time is important. That's why we engineer Bobcat® loaders that are simple to maintain. A large opening gives you more space to work, while a smart layout gives you faster access to critical components. Kubota®, Caterpillar®, Case® and New Holland® will require more time in the shop. You’ll easily notice the differences the moment you open the tailgates. Watch the test to see for yourself.

Easy-to-maintain equipment has a huge impact on productivity and reducing total cost of ownership. When technicians can quickly service loaders, operators have more time to use the equipment. Plus, it helps save on labor costs. See how easy machine maintenance can affect your operation.

When considering a loader, see how fast it is to maintain. Some manufacturers design compact track loaders to be easier to maintain than others, which can have a significant impact on your productivity and your bottom line. What brands simplify maintenance? Watch the test to find out.

Bobcat vs. Other Brands

Test Results

Bobcat makes maintenance easy with its transversely mounted engines and by mounting the radiator and hydraulic cooler high above the engine. This gives you plenty of room to work in addition to easy access maintenance items.

Kubota, Caterpillar, Case and New Holland, however, tuck away key components under hoses, behind the radiator or inside the cab. Servicing these components can multiply your downtime, since they leave little room for you to work or require you to remove a component to service another.

Maintaining your loader should be easy to complete, but not all brands design their loaders with that in mind. Consider how easy it is to access key components to see how maintenance might affect your productivity.

How We Test Equipment

When you’re shopping for a new machine, it’s easy to compare specs. After all, that’s the best way to compare machines, right? Not quite. With specs, you’re only getting part of the story. They don’t measure real performance on your jobsite and that’s what matters most. It’s the reason we put top brands through the paces with fair, accurate, and repeatable tests. Watch to see how we developed the tests.
