Why is lift arm geometry so important?

Bobcat's unique, patented design makes them the most durable in the industy. Bobcatís lift arms were designed to keep every pin at each pivot point in the same plane. Additionally, the pins are supported on both sides vs. just one side (cantilever design) that you'll see in other machines. The result is that Bobcat loader lift arms have less lateral deflection (side-to-side lift arm movement) and reduced load on the pins themselves.

Different jobs demand different requirements in a loader. The diversified line up of Bobcat loaders is ready to meet those different challenges.

The radius lift path style provides greater forward reach than a vertical lift path for more than 80 percent of the lift-arm path, including a greater maximum reach at mid-range heights, like dumping over a wall, backfilling or unloading flatbed trucks

The vertical lift path is designed to provide more reach at full lift height than the original radius lift path, and to do so without any decrease in performance. A vertical lift path keeps the load closer to the machine: a loader with this lift pattern can safely lift more than an identical loader with a radius lift path.

The vertical-lift path loader provides plenty of power, lift and reach, making it easier to clear high-sided truck boxes and hoppers. It's also ideal for placing pallets especially those loaded with heavy materials such as brick, block or sod.
