CARB Regulations: Let Bobcat Help You Cope with CARB

What is CARB?
In July 2007, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved a regulation to reduce emissions from existing off-road diesel vehicles used in California in construction, mining, and other industries. The regulation is expected to help reduce emissions from in-use off-road diesel vehicles, which is necessary to meet federally imposed clean air standards.

Any person, business, or government agency that own or operates diesel-power off-road vehicles in California—except for agriculture or homeowners with acreage—with having a maximum power of 25 hp or greater are subject to the regulations. It also applies to self-propelled diesel-fueled vehicles that cannot be registered and licensed to drive on-road.

We can help!
Your Bobcat dealer can help you meet the CARB regulations! Visit your local Bobcat sales specialist for help in complying with CARB regulations. Your dealer can provide the machine information you need to register your Bobcat equipment by the deadline:
  • April 1 2009: Large Fleets
  • June 1 2009: Medium Fleets
  • August 1 2009: Small Fleets

We can also help you lease your way through CARB. All new Bobcat machines meet current tier emissions requirements. If you have an older machine, trade it in and replace it with a new one! Leasing assures that you will always have the latest (and best!) machines possible all the while helping you keep ahead of the CARB requirements.
