Bobcat 82-inch Root Grapple Attachment Now Available for Telescopic Tool Carriers

Contractors with Bobcat® VersaHandler® telescopic tool carriers (TTC) can now efficiently remove roots, brush, rocks and other debris while leaving dirt behind with the new 82-inch VH root grapple attachment from Bobcat Company, a business of Ingersoll Rand, a diversified industrial firm.

The new 82-inch VH root grapple attachment expands the diverse line of Bobcat land-clearing attachments for VersaHandler TTCs. It may be used with Bobcat V518 and V723 models. Bobcat representatives say this attachment will be popular among contractors in the construction market who frequently need to remove brush and debris from jobsites. In addition, the Bobcat root grapple attachment is also available in widths of 66, 72 and 82 inches for loaders.

The Bobcat 82-inch VH root grapple attachment has the power to clear brush and overgrowth on construction and landscaping projects, or when natural disasters hit. The rugged, skeletal design of the attachment allows dirt to fall between the teeth, thus minimizing topsoil removal. This means lighter and fewer loads for operators to haul. The attachment's curved bottom teeth also enable operators to scoop material without plunging the grapple into the ground.

The attachment's heavy-duty design improves wear life in tough land-clearing and demolition applications and its fully enclosed mounting frame minimizes flexing in the frame area. Inertia-welded cushioned cylinders are an exclusive Bobcat feature that result in strong, smooth, durable grapple operation by improving hydraulic cushioning at the end of the stroke. Also, hydraulic hoses are protected to prevent damage caused by debris.

The hydraulic-controlled grapple is easy to operate and features the Bob-Tach™ mounting system, which allows operators to quickly change between attachments. Like all Bobcat attachments, the root grapple is engineered for optimum job performance, dependability and durability.
