More Choices Enhance Operation of Telescopic Tool Carriers

VersaHandler

New VersaHandler TTC canopy is a cost-effective alternative to an enclosed cab.

Improvements to the VersaHandler® telescopic tool carrier (TTC) add to the value and performance of this multi-purpose machine. The TTC offers the versatility, speed, agility and strength of a skid-steer loader, the extended reach of a telescopic handler and a choice of three steering modes—all-wheel steer for turning tightly, crab-steer for moving side to side and front-wheel steer for traveling on the road. It quickly and efficiently handles a wide range of jobs. The following new improvements are available for three models—the V518, V623 and V623 Frame Level. New Canopy Incorporating the Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) and the Falling-Object Protective Structure (FOPS), this new VersaHandler canopy option offers a costeffective alternative to an enclosed cab. “With its open sides, front and upper rear area, it should be popular among rental store owners and those who operate the machine in warmer climates where canopy machines are traditionally used,” says Marty Miller, VersaHandler product manager for Bobcat Company. The canopy features the new Bobcat Lateral Operator Restraint System (LORS)—an industry first. Similar to the secondary restraint system which Bobcat Company pioneered for skid-steer loaders, it is used with a seat belt for added safety to help keep you in the operator’s seat. The system swings down from the left side opening of the cab and provides an armrest for added comfort while operating the machine. This system must be lowered before the hydraulic and drive systems will function. Raising the armrest locks out these two systems and engages the parking brake.
silage defacer

The new silage defacer for the VersaHandler TTC helps reduce feed spoilage.

New Hydraulic System The new optional canopy also includes a new hydraulic system. A hydraulic pilot-controlled joystick operates the boom lift and attachment tilt functions, while proportional electric controls move the boom in and out and operate auxiliary functions. “This gives you more precise control of the boom and improved multifunction capabilities for raising or lowering the boom as you extend or retract it while operating the attachment,” says Miller. The multifunction feature of the hydraulic system on cab versions has also been improved. New Bob-Tach™ Adaptor With this device you can now use your VersaHandler telescopic with a Bobcat® auger or other approved nonload carrying Bobcat attachments. A New Attachment for Dairy Farmers Designed for dairy producers, the new silage defacer for the VersaHandler TTC removes a 96-in.-wide swath from the front of silage in a bunker, trench or pile to a depth of 21/4 in. This can significantly reduce spoilage by decreasing air pockets in the face of the pile where most spoilage occurs. The drum of the attachment extends beyond the outside of the frame, allowing the operator to remove silage completely from the face along the walls of bunkers or to square off a silage pile. It is approved for use on the V518, V623 and V623 Frame Level models.
