Combining the benefits of three machines in one
VersaHANDLER telescopic tool carriers outperform dedicated machines with attachment versatility
VersaHandler® telescopic tool carriers (TTC) are capable of doing more than lifting and placing materials, although they are well suited for these tasks. They combine the advantages of a wheel loader, attachment carrier and rough terrain forklift in one powerful machine. They are a popular alternative to a dedicated machine for completing projects in construction, landscaping, agriculture, industrial/recycling and rental.
Impressive lift capacities
Four VersaHandler TTC models offer lift capacities of 4,400 to 7,000 pounds to easily lift building materials; pallets of sod, brick, or stone; or buckets of snow, sand or gravel. Lift heights from 17 to 38 feet enable operators to carefully place building materials, such as drywall and shingles, on second or third floors, minimizing labor to move these items by hand.
Three steering modes
Because jobsites can be crowded and equipment needs to be flexible, Bobcat TTCs have three steering modes: all-wheel steer for a tight turning radius, crab-steer for side-to-side positioning and front-wheel steer in open areas. A hydrostatic transmission provides on-the-fly shifting between high and low drive speed ranges.
Comfortable cab
A comfortable cab and easy-to-use controls come standard on Bobcat telescopics. Generous entry and exit space accommodates operators of all sizes, while a suspension seat minimizes vibration for a smooth ride. VersaHandler TTC controls are simple to use with a single loader-style joystick for lift and tilt functions, and variable-control thumbwheels on the joystick for boom extension and auxiliary hydraulic functions. A single shuttle lever controls forward and reverse movements, and high and low speeds.
Attachment options
A big difference between traditional telehandlers and VersaHandler TTCs is the attachment options. Select from more than 20 approved Bobcat attachments for use with select models. A hydraulic attachment mounting system on the V518, V638 and V723 makes attachment changes a snap, and the V417 has the familiar and ever-popular Bob-Tach™ mounting system. Select skid-steer loader attachments are approved for use with the V417, too. Here's a sample of what you can accomplish with a TTC and attachments:
- Drill footings for new buildings or holes for landscape plantings with an auger.
- Move or load bales with a bale handler or bale squeeze.
- Collect, lift and place hard-to-handle debris and recycling materials with a grapple.
- Excavate, grade and level dirt with a combination bucket.
- Scoop snow with large capacity buckets.
- Lift and place trusses with a truss boom.
