Bobcat M-Series Compact Loaders Make Their Debut
M-Series S630 Skid-steer loader
Never willing to say "good enough," Bobcat Company continues to find new ways to improve upon its industry-leading compact equipment, incorporating new technologies to improve operator comfort, productivity, visibility and performance. A new generation of Bobcat® compact loaders — the M-Series — is the result of years of research, development, testing and customer input, coming together in exciting products that will wow you!
At first glance, you notice that Bobcat M-Series loaders — both skid-steer and compact track — look remarkably different from the current models. A unique cab-forward design was implemented in the new series to create a difference that you can see, hear and feel when you're in the operator's seat.
Bobcat loaders already have the most cab space in the compact equipment industry. Now there's even more to accommodate long days in the operator's seat. You might ask yourself, "How will this benefit me or my operators?" The distinctly different cab-forward design improves overall visibility. By moving the operating station forward, you have better visibility of the attachment while you're working. This also gives you better visibility to the tires and sides through larger side windows.
Best-in-Class Pressurized Cab
After a long day of work, it's nice to step out of a Bobcat loader and not have dirt and dust caked on you and your clothes. A best-in-class pressurized cab will keep you cleaner and feeling less fatigued, and it will keep the machine interior cleaner after long days. Higher pressure inside the Bobcat loader cab minimizes the dirt and dust that may enter the cab. New pressure seals engage the door on the front and sides, compressing into a specialized curved door pocket.

LESS NOISE AND VIBRATION
Now it's even easier to interrupt your work to have a conversation with a co-worker while you're sitting in your loader, and it's easier to hear your favorite radio program or music. The inside cab sound levels of Bobcat® M-Series loaders have been reduced by more than 60 percent. New engine mounts also lower vibration in the cab.
Additional cab improvements include 10 percent more space inside the cab than previous models with an improved entry and exit space, and the industry's largest cab door. You'll have more head, arm, leg, shoulder and foot space for improved operator comfort. And speaking of operator comfort, M-Series loaders with Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC) have a seat and controls that move together. As the suspension seat moves up and down when traveling over rough terrain, so do the joysticks and armrests. The M-Series SJC joysticks move with the seat adjustment, so the controls move forward or backward to accommodate your preferred operating position.
Enclosed Cab Enhancements
M-Series loaders with enclosed cabs and heat and air conditioning systems have an increased system performance of about 35 percent for improved operator comfort. The heat and air conditioning controls are mounted in front of you for convenience and easy operation. Directional vents point the air flow toward your upper body, while specific vents point toward the side and rear windows to defrost or defog them, when necessary.
More Performance in a Smaller Package
M-Series loader performance enhancements will give you give the power of a large loader in a smaller package. This starts with stronger hydraulics for improved attachment performance and a 20 percent increase in hydraulic horsepower. The standard auxiliary hydraulic flow is 23 gpm at 3500 psi and an optional high flow system that reaches 30.5 gpm for maximum attachment performance.
You'll be able to dig harder and push more material than ever before with a drive system that provides 15 to 20 percent more tractive effort for exceptional pushing power. Drivetrain durability starts with #120 high-strength chains — the largest and toughest in the industry.
Performance and durability enhancements also include the following:
- Removable hose guide: Securing auxiliary hydraulic hoses has never been easier. Correctly route hoses to prevent damage. Slide the guide onto your hydraulic hose and clip it onto the machine prior to operation. Clip it onto the attachment frame when it's not in use.
- Counterweight ready: Pre-drilled holes allow for frame-mounted counterweights to increase lifting performance with certain attachments.
- Brighter lighting: Light output is increased by more than 50 percent to illuminate the working areas around the front of the loader. Special reflectors and lenses direct a high-intensity beam to your work.
Boost lifting performance with certain attachment by adding counterweights to predrilled holes in the M-Series Loader Frame.
The last thing you want is to have your loader break down while you're working on a jobsite. Bobcat M-Series loaders increase your uptime with features that ensure your machine will run longer. Maintenance is made easier to make sure it gets done correctly at the designated service intervals. Preventive maintenance goes a long way to extending your Bobcat loader's lifespan.
In addition to the cab-forward design, one clearly visible change is the protected hydraulic quick couplers. The pressure-release quick couplers are mounted directly into the front plate of the lift arm, with no exposed hoses to damage. The easy-on, easy-off design still applies, and the couplers are more protected now with a guard that extends beyond them.
As you move around to the rear of the machine, you'll notice a new tubular structure acts as a bumper that extends beyond the M-Series tailgate. This is designed to protect the tailgate from inadvertent damage, especially when you're working in tight areas. The door now swings open to the left, while the diesel fill tube was moved to the right, just inside the tailgate where it is protected from vandalism. This was done to allow you to fill the fuel tank without opening the door completely — an ideal solution for times when the machine is loaded on a trailer for transport.
Pressure-release quick couplers are mounted directly into the front plate and a guard further protects the couplers.
A new cooling system gives you more efficient, higher-capacity cooling for longer machine life and better performance. To easily remove dust and debris, simply remove a cover and swing the large aluminum oil cooler up to clean air between the cooler and the machine radiator. A prop rod holds the oil cooler in place, giving you complete access to clean any debris that may have built up.
Additional uptime protections include the following:
- Hydraulic sight gauge: Quickly check your hydraulic oil level with a new sight gauge and ensure you're at the optimal level.
- Tie-downs: New tie-downs are easy to find and easy to reach at the front and rear of the machine for fast hookup.
- Easier maintenance: End greased pivot pins on key loader points make it easy to grease the pins.
For decades, Bobcat has explored ways to help customers work quicker, lift more and outperform others. With the proper machine weight balance, impressive breakout forces, faster cycle times, and more usable horsepower, Bobcat loaders help you get more work done in less time — and now even more with the new M-Series.
