M-Series Excavator Line Expands

Three new models replace Bobcat excavators between 4 and 5 metric tons

The M-Series excavator lineup from Bobcat keeps growing with the introduction of three new models. The E42, E45 and E50 models replace current Bobcat� excavators that fall in the 4-to-5-metric-ton class, and feature the popular M-Series benefits in a larger platform than the E32 and E35 models introduced in 2009.

M-Series E50 compact excavator

M-Series excavators differ from their predecessors with overall lighter machine weights, improved digging and lifting, and enhanced tractive performance. These enhancements reflect Bobcat's continued dedication to providing customers with the best compact equipment in the industry.

Ultimate digging performance

Among the many M-Series features that stand out are increased arm and bucket forces � as much as 10 percent � for better productivity while you're on the jobsite. Improved dump height is helpful when you need to load a truck without repositioning the machine � another time-saver.

A new hydraulic system features a load-sensing piston pump and closed center valve for smooth and predictable response to joystick movements. You will experience improved control of the work group (boom, arm and bucket), refined start and stop functions, and faster cycle times.

Lower noise with auto-idle

An auto-idle function, available on all M-Series excavators, idles the excavator's engine if the joysticks, travel and blade levers remain in neutral for about four seconds. Easily adjust the engine speed with a rotary dial throttle next to the joystick.

Comfort cab

A new joystick-mounted control moves the boom swing off the floor and to your fingertips.

Improved visibility and comfort in the operating station includes adjustable armrests and an improved air conditioning system with 20 percent increase in air flow and additional vents.

Available on all three models is the optional, multi-function angle blade for enhanced grading and dozing performance.

E42 QUICK SPECS

The new M-Series E42 is a Conventional Tail Swing machine that replaces the 335 excavator. A new fuel fill alert will notify you when you're reaching the tank's capacity. New options include a deluxe cloth seat and travel motion alarm.

Replacing the 435 is a new Zero Tail Swing (ZTS) E45 M-Series excavator. The ZTS design minimizes the chances of property and machine damage, and provides enhanced spoil placement, whether directly into a truck or into a loader bucket for easy removal. (Shown with grapple and clamp attachments.)
