New acreage owners win Bobcat compact tractor

The Allens recently won a CT225 compact tractor and box blade attachment like those pictured above.

Connelly Springs, N.C. – Luck and timing were on the side of Angela and Paul Allen of Connelly Springs, N.C. They won a brand-new Bobcat® CT225 compact tractor and 60-inch box blade in the Living the Country Life Bobcat Compact Tractor Sweepstakes. Their entry was just one of 740,000.

The Allens just purchased 2 acres about a mile from their previous neighborhood. They cleared 1 acre to build a home and a large garden. After becoming settled and seeing what had to be done to the place, they realized they needed a tractor to help with the chores. “Paul had been wanting one, but it was just kind of one of those ‘dream things’ so far,” Angela said. “Hopefully, down the road that was one of the things we were going to get.”

When Angela received the call from Living the Country Life telling her she had won the new tractor, she was in disbelief. “We were amazed; just can’t believe it!” Angela and Paul started dreaming up all the ways that they could use their new Bobcat tractor on their acreage.

This past spring they planted squash, beans and corn in their 120-by-50-foot garden — quite an accomplishment considering it was the first garden they ever planted. Their new Bobcat compact tractor will help with planting their fall crop and again in the spring. With all of the available attachments, it will make their job much easier. They also plan to use the box blade to get their property ready for grass seed. With 2 acres of land to take care of, they know that the tractor will come in handy for any number of chores and make their country life that much more enjoyable.
