Superior Performance in a Compact Size — the E26 Excavator
E26 compact excavator
The new Bobcat® E26 compact excavator provides refined operator controls for smooth and responsive operation. This feature allows operators to be nimble in tight digging jobsites and accurate with trench grades, depths and widths. Additionally, the long-arm configuration provides an extra 8 inches of dump height, 7 inches of reach and 12 inches of dig depth.
Minimal Tail Swing
The E26 is a Minimal Tail Swing compact excavator with less than an inch (0.8) of tail overhang (standard-arm configuration); 2.8 inches with the long-arm configuration. With a width of just 60 inches, the E26 can easily access and work in tight surroundings, replacing work previously done by hand. Additionally, the excavator’s size, weight and rubber track undercarriage minimize ground disturbance on established surfaces.
Industry-leading cab
The E26 is standard-equipped with a canopy that is ROPS/TOPS-rated, while an enclosed cab with heat and air conditioning and a radio is optional; these options are unique to this size class. Bobcat compact excavators are comfortable for even the largest of operators with features like adjustable arm rests, ample foot room and large door openings. Similar to larger M-Series models, the E26 features convenient joystick-mounted, fingertip control for boom swing and auxiliary hydraulic functions. This frees up floor space, and allows attachments to be operated easier and more efficiently. Visibility around the machine and to the attachment is unmatched, while noise and vibration is isolated from the engine and cooling compartments, all contributing to an excellent operating experience.
Performance features
Choose from standard or long-arm configurations. The long-arm configuration provides an additional foot of dig depth, 7 inches of reach and 8 inches of dump height. M-Series excavator features include auto-idle throttle with rotary dial, auto-shift travel system, a variable displacement piston pump and proportional control valve system.
Uptime protection
Unlike other excavators in its size class, the E26 has an engine and hydraulics monitor to shutdown the machine to prevent catastrophic failure. The shutdown protection system monitors vital machine functions such as engine coolant temperature, oil pressure and hydraulic oil temperature. If a monitored function is out of normal operating range, the system provides an audible alert and warning message. Also, a new feature for this size is a fuel fill alert to notify the operator when the fuel tank’s capacity is reached and avoid over-filling. The alert begins beeping when the fuel tank is about three-quarters full. The frequency increases to a solid tone just before the tank is full.

Match hydraulic flow to Bobcat attachments for optimum control
Auxiliary button
A new selectable auxiliary hydraulic flow control for Bobcat® excavators is now available. This feature gives operators more control of select attachments for improved movements, particularly when precision matters most. Toggle among three auxiliary flow settings to best match the attachment. Simply press the AUX mode button repeatedly to choose the desired auxiliary flow.
Selectable flow is standard on models E32, E35, E42, E45, E50 and E55.
Auxiliary flow settings:
AUX 1: Low flow
Best for using the Power Tilt® and Hydra-Tilt™ swing accessories because the moving parts of the attachment move slowly. Trenches can be dug with accurate angles.
AUX 2: Medium flow
Well-suited for using clamps for precise movements to place boulders or timbers. Operators have more predictable responses when handling landscaping materials.
AUX 3: Maximum flow
Ideal for using hydraulic breakers, plate compactors or augers. Attachments perform at their optimal setting.
