Agriculture

Attachments and implements expand what agriculture producers can do with a compact tractor. Routine chores such as mowing, carrying hay bales or clearing snow can all be accomplished with Bobcat compact tractors and attachments. For special projects, hook up a backhoe to efficiently complete excavating applications. Select Bobcat compact tractors are approved for use with a grapple and optional utility fork — ideal for moving hard-to-handle or loose material more easily. Simply lift, carry and dump materials with ease. For digging fence posts or related digging projects, the Bobcat front-mounted Model 10 auger allows for excellent dig depth and visibility to the hole. The Model 10 auger requires front auxiliary hydraulics, and is only approved for use on CT335, CT440, CT445 and CT450 models and Bob-Tach system with front-end loader.

Compact tractors have been a staple product for grounds maintenance professionals. They’re commonly used for everyday tasks like mowing. With Bobcat compact tractors there are three finish mower models available, with cutting widths of 60, 72 and 84 inches. Finish mowers produce a clean, smooth cut without skips on lawns, parks and school property. A mid-mount mower is available for areas where space is limited. Mid-mount mowers are available in two models, with cutting widths of 54 and 66 inches (on CT122, CT225, CT230 and CT235 models only).

For snow removal, Bobcat offers a front-mounted snow blade, with three models and widths of 54, 69 and 84 inches. The blade has a moldboard that adjusts up to 30 degrees left or right. Blade movements are managed hydraulically by loader joystick control. Also available are front-mounted snowblowers, which require a lift kit for operation with Bobcat compact tractors.

Landscaping professionals can grade, plant or condition soil with a Bobcat compact tractor and attachments. For grading, an angle blade or box blade efficiently levels the soil before placing seed or laying sod. A heavy-duty 84-inch box blade is available for tough ground conditions.

Planting tasks can easily be accomplished with a front- or rear-mounted auger attachment. The unique design and heavy-duty construction of Bobcat auger attachments produce fast, accurate holes. Front-mounted augers for Bobcat compact tractors require front auxiliary hydraulics, and are approved for use with CT440, CT445 and CT450 models. A 3-point hitch seeder has a 4-bushel hopper and an application rate of more than 2 acres per hour.

Bobcat compact tractor owners have several options for conditioning soil for new sod or seed. A 3-point disc harrow or tiller prepares the soil for new seedbed and plantings. The tiller may also be used to amend soil for fertilizer and remove weeds between tree rows. A 3-point version of the Bobcat soil conditioner pulverizes soil to prepare it for turf, allowing seeds to penetrate the ground and establish themselves.
