If dictionaries used pictures to define words, then photos of Toolcat™ utility work machines would be the descriptions for the term “versatility.” With many features and performance capabilities of several machines combined into one, Toolcat machines are uniquely designed to perform a variety of chores and tasks in many different applications. The ability to operate both front-mounted attachments and rear-mounted implements (5610), extends the functionality of Toolcat utility work machines to a level that is unmatched by any similar compact equipment available today.
With more than 40 Bobcat® attachment options available, the Toolcat 5600 and 5610 can be matched to tackle hundreds of different jobs more efficiently. For repetitive tasks, consider purchasing the applicable Bobcat attachment; for one-time jobs, rent attachments from your local Bobcat dealer. Either way, every day, owners will be amazed to discover the flexibility that Toolcat machines provide, thanks to the vast variety of time- and labor-saving Bobcat attachments.
Because of their ability to perform many functions using a variety of attachments and implements — some simultaneously — Toolcat utility work machines are also designed to make easy work of changing these task performance artists to different roles. Using the Bob-Tach® attachment mounting system — standard on Toolcat machines — one person can easily change front-mounted attachments in less than a minute. Simply use the steering wheel and ergonomic joystick to line up with the attachment, lock the levers with the wedge pins through the holes in the mounting frame and it’s ready to go … no additional tools required. When equipped with the optional hydraulic Power Bob-Tach™ mounting system, this quick-change artist allows the operator to swap-out non-hydraulic attachments without leaving the seat.

Pulling out all the (suspension) stops
The Bobcat four-wheel independent suspension system — composed of A-frames, suspension coils, shocks and suspension stops — is designed so that each wheel travels up and down independently and isolates all four wheels from the frame to provide top-notch comfort. The long wheelbase of Toolcat machines allows the independent suspension of each tire more time to adjust between each impact when traveling over uneven ground. The suspension system also maximizes traction by maintaining tire-to-ground contact while isolating the machine from changes in terrain, resulting in less impact to the frame, cab and attachments. This reduces bounce, spillage and vibration when carrying materials. In addition, the specially designed suspension stops provide support at maximum lift or payload capacity.
All of this and comfort too!
Interview after interview has proven time and time again the direct correlation between operator comfort and productivity — regardless of the season. That’s why Bobcat designed the perfect climate-controlled cab (optional) that offers heat and air conditioning comfort no matter what the weather’s like outside. The Toolcat 5600 and 5610 also have tilt steering and a driver’s seat with 13 settings to accommodate the comfort of any operator. Both Toolcat models are equipped with a two-speed transmission, allowing the operator to shift between high and low range on the fly.
Ergonomic joystick hydraulic control enhances operator comfort
The joystick hydraulic control makes operating Toolcat™ 5600 and 5610 utility work machines comfortable. The ergonomic, convenient joystick design provides effortless control of front-mounted attachments without having to look away from the task at hand. Intuitive fingertip control eliminates searching for buttons and switches. Even secondary attachment functions such as comfortable angle adjustments for angle brooms, snow blades or soil conditioners can be made — instinctively — from the comfort of the cab. Dual-direction detent allows for continuous hydraulic flow to the attachment in either direction, eliminating the need to hold down a switch, making it easier for using bidirectional attachments such as sweepers and tillers.
Toolcat 5600 and 5610 utility work machines offer lift arm float, allowing it to move up and down freely so the attachment matches ground contours for optimum performance. And, the rear PTO, 3-point hitch and rear remote hydraulics of the 5610 are all operated with simple controls inside the cab.
