Dig deeper, faster

Hard rock got you frustrated? Want a Bobcat auger with more torque? You got it. Bobcat expands its auger attachment lineup with two new planetary drive augers, delivering more torque to dig in the toughest soil conditions

New planetary drive augers

New planetary drive augers

Augers have been a mainstay in the Bobcat® attachment family for decades. Two new planetary drive models — the 35PH and 50PH — give you more options to best match the application. Here are some benefits of the planetary auger design.

Increased dig depth: smaller drive housing follows the bit into the hole for more depth; hit desired dig depth with 61-inch heavy-duty and rock bits

More torque: compact, high-torque gearbox works faster to dig in hard soil

Hex output shaft: 2.5-inch, two-piece shaft design provides robust performance and uptime protection

48-inch adjustable inner extension: available for digging even deeper

Depending on the digging conditions, you can choose from heavy-duty and rock bits, including a wide range of bit sizes and a variety of teeth to match your digging needs. Planetary drive augers and bits are well suited for digging in hardpan, caliche, shale, frozen ground, asphalt and rocky soil. They may also be utilized to install anchors or footings.

For loaders and excavators

Like current Bobcat augers, new planetary drive augers share a common attachment mounting system. Planetary drive augers can easily be transferred from an approved Bobcat loader to a compact excavator to get more utilization out of the attachment and carrier. Attaching an auger to a loader or excavator is simple: Connect the auger’s drive unit to the attachment mounting frame, install the auger bit and you’re ready to start digging.
