Silt Fence Installer Eliminates Storm Runoff
Control storm runoff with the new Bobcat silt fence installer attachment.
Control storm runoff, meet U.S. EPA requirements and avoid costly fines by mounting the new Bobcat® silt fence installer attachment on your compact loader.
Contractors working in new housing developments — who must adhere to EPA Best Management Practices to control storm water runoff and pollutant discharge — will benefit from this attachment. In addition to federal regulations, some states and municipalities have even stricter erosion control guidelines.
Faster than trenching
More secure and faster than traditional trenching, the silt fence installer puts in silt fence up to 20-in.-deep in widths of 36, 42 and 48 inches — all while minimizing manual labor. Silt fence material is quickly threaded under a rod and through the chute on a blade. Lower the blade, drive the loader backwards and the silt fence unrolls automatically.
An optional side-shift mounting frame allows operators to install silt fence in the optimum position. Choose from a center position or offset slightly for better blade visibility or offset completely (edge of loader’s tracks or tires) to get close to obstacles.
Approved for compact loaders and tractors
The silt fence installer is approved for use on Bobcat S220–S330 skid-steer loaders, T180–T300 compact track loaders and the A300 all-wheel steer loader. Compact tractors with up to 100 hp and a Class I or Class II three-point hitch are also compatible with the silt fence installer.
Mount the attachment to compact tractors with prop stands that can be stowed away when not in use. A hydraulic top-link kit is available to elevate the silt fence installer blade higher off the ground.
