Dealer History:
Garden State Bobcat was established as R.A.W. Equipment Company, Inc. on November 14, 1983 by Robert and Angela Woods at their flagship location in Howell, NJ, offering full dealer functions of sales, service, parts and rental of compact equipment. In 1984, the business contracted with the Melroe Company to become the local dealer for Bobcat products, setting up shop in a 2,000 square foot building on Route 9 along the Monmouth-Ocean County borderline. In October of 1988, the business moved into a new 8,750 square foot building on four acres, located on Route 33 in Howell, which is the current headquarters for the Garden State Bobcat Group. The business officially changed it's name to Garden State Bobcat Inc. in 1991.

Garden State Bobcat expanded to another facility in 1989 named South Jersey Bobcat Co, Inc., located in a 7,500 square foot building on 1.5 acres on Hurfville-Crosskeys Rd in Washington Township, Camden County, NJ. Bobcat of Central Jersey was established on April 1, 1999, located in an 8,000 square foot facility at 398 Lincoln Boulevard in Middlesex County, NJ. This business location was established to provide coverage for several surrounding counties,and was later moved to a new location with more than 11,000 square feet of space on Route 22 in Green Brook. In 2004, all of the New Jersey locations owned by Robert Woods became the Garden State Bobcat Group and the businesses continue to serve the Central and Southern parts of New Jersey, including Staten Island, NY.

Garden State Bobcat employs more than 35 staff in their three locations.
