When it comes to buying compact equipment it just makes sense to invest your money where it will produce the most dividends. No line of equipment does a better job of that than the Bobcat ® brand. For more than 45 years Bobcat equipment has proven to be a wise choice for profit-minded buyers. Bobcat machines and attachments pay off in many ways—by boosting productivity, cutting labor costs, saving time, expanding business opportunities, and maintenance costs. Plus, they make work more comfortable, less tiring and more enjoyable. Add in the superior performance and features of the most advanced machines in the business and a worldwide network of service-oriented Bobcat dealers and no piece of compact equipment offers a better value. More Experience The first four-wheel-drive skidsteer loader, the model M-400, was introduced in 1960. Since then Bobcat Company has produced more skidsteer loaders than all other manufacturers combined. In recent years, Bobcat Company has capitalized on this unmatched expertise in compact equipment by introducing several groundbreaking products: All-wheel steer (AWS) and compact track loaders, VersaHandler™ telescopic tool carriers, the MT50 walk-behind mini track loader and the Toolcat™ 5600 utility work machine. More Innovation Drawing on this wealth of experience, Bobcat engineers continue to develop and refine a number of industry-leading technological advancements to enhance the performance, operation and profitability of Bobcat equipment. For example, Bobcat AWS units are the world’s first loaders to offer the benefits of both all-wheel steer and skid-steer in one machine at the flip of a switch.

“This is the most important breakthrough in loaders since we invented the skidsteer,” says Lynn Roesler, Bobcat loader product marketing manager. Other examples of Bobcat leadership: • The Bob-Tach™ attachment mounting system, introduced in the 1970s, was the first of its kind for fast, secure loader attachment changes. • The X-Change® system, another industry first (1998), that makes changing excavator attachments quick and easy. Unlike some systems, you don’t sacrifice breakout force or attachment rotation. • The Bobcat Interlock Control System (BICS™), the latest in operator safety technology, introduced in 1995. • The Bobcat multi-function hydraulic system on Bobcat excavators which allows you to do more work in less time with less effort (2000). • The Bobcat Operation Sensing System (BOSS®), a state-of-the-art engine and hydraulics diagnostic and monitoring system, introduced in 1990. • The advanced loader cab, introduced in 1999, is the most comfortable and most operator-friendly cab you can buy. More Choices No manufacturer offers a wider range of compact equipment than Bobcat Company. There’s no need to compromise your needs and desires by selecting from just a few models. Bobcat offers you many choices so you can choose the machine that best fits your particular requirements. Skid-steer loaders. You can choose from nine different models of Bobcat skid-steer loaders. Add in the five high-flow hydraulics models and your choices total 14 different Bobcat skid-steer loaders. At the same time, you can choose models with a standard length wheelbase for enhanced maneuverability or those with an extended wheelbase for a smoother ride and increased lifting ability. You can also select loaders with a standard, general purpose radius lift path or, if you want more reach for loading and dumping, loaders with a vertical lift path.

Compact track loaders. You can select from three compact Bobcat dedicated track loaders if your work calls for the extra traction, reduced ground pressure, less ground disturbance, and superior flotation offered by this kind of loader. All-wheel steer loaders (AWS). The Bobcat A220 and A300 AWS loaders offer the ultimate in compact loader versatility. They combine the best of a skid-steer’s size, speed and maneuverability with the reduced ground disturbance, improved material handling, and increased tire life of all-wheel steer in one value-loaded machine. VersaHandler telescopic tool carrier (TTC). Want a multi-purpose machine that gives you the versatility, agility, speed and strength of a skid-steer loader plus the extended lift height of a forklift? Again, there’s a Bobcat machine for you—three models of the VersaHandler TTC. Mini track loader. The Bobcat MT50 mini track walk-behind loader with rubber tracks is ideal for confined work spaces. Excavators. “Our stylish compact excavators are the most advanced models on the market,” says Dan Klug, Bobcat excavator marketing product manager. “With the latest in instrumentation and hydraulic control, no other brand is more comfortable to operate or easier to service. These machines give you the highest bucket breakout force and best cycle times in their classes.” You can choose from eight models of Bobcat compact excavators, plus the newest and biggest Bobcat excavator—the 442, a zero tail swing machine with plenty of digging power.

There are even more equipment choices from Bobcat Company—the one-of-akind Toolcat 5600 utility work machine, the Workmate utility vehicle, five compact loader backhoes and an extensive lineup of light construction, portable power and compaction products. More Features Bobcat engineers have designed compact equipment to give you the productivity, reliability and durability you need to save time, labor and money. Consider Bobcat loaders. They are designed to balance horsepower and torque for optimum performance. For example, if engine torque peaks at a relatively high engine rpm, the engine could quickly die under a load. However, with Bobcat loaders, torque values rise as engine rpm goes down. This gives you more lugging power to keep working. Unlike some brands of loaders which offer either full-on or full-off auxiliary hydraulic flow, many Bobcat loaders allow you to vary the hydraulic power between off and maximum to feather the operation of certain attachments. That allows you to grasp an object, such as a pipe, rather than clamping down instantly and risking damage. On the other hand, you can also use maximum flow to retract and quickly remove dirt from an auger bit. Several loader models offer low- and high-speed travel ranges with a top speed of more than 12 mph. A heavy-duty, no-maintenance “bow-tie” drive chain and self-lubricating axle bearings extend the operating life of your Bobcat loader. So does the beltdriven hydrostatic system which allows the engine to run slower and quieter and reduces fuel consumption. At the same time, it maximizes pump efficiency and minimizes steering lever effort. The exclusive Bobcat dual path cooling system draws in clean, cool outside air from above to cool the engine and hydraulic oil and then exhausts the air out two side vents for quieter, more efficient engine operation. Hydraulic hoses, lines and cylinders, and grease fittings are well protected from the bumps and jolts of daily work, helping to maintain your equipment investment.

Transverse-mounted engines and swing-open tailgates make it easy to reach and service fuel, oil and air filters, oil and coolant levels and batteries. Bobcat excavators are designed to make the best use of your time and money. Performance features include pistonpump hydraulic systems for more efficient use of engine power and improved control of the work group, half-pitch tracks for a smoother ride, and low and high-range travel speeds. Meanwhile, VersaHandler™ telescopic tool carriers include standard features such as all-wheel, front and crab steering plus a heavy-duty, automotive-style, shift-on-the-fly hydrostatic transmission with drive and work modes. More Attachments The more tools you can attach to your compact equipment the more versatile and productive it becomes. The selection of attachments offered by Bobcat is unsurpassed by any other manufacturer. Add up all the different models of attachments, sizes, options and accessories and the list reaches almost 500 different choices. That gives you the most opportunities to save time and labor and to bring in more business. But variety is only part of the story.

“Bobcat attachments are designed and built specifically for Bobcat equipment,” says Rae Dell Braaten, Bobcat attachment product marketing manager. “They’re matched to fit the performance capabilities of a particular Bobcat machine. That includes heavy-duty components for durability and reliability. “For example, high-carbon steel cutting edges and a waffle-type skid plate increases the strength and useful life of Bobcat construction/industrial buckets. Some, like the grader, are designed for very precise work. Others feature bolt-on, replaceable parts such as blades, bristles and teeth to save you money. All meet our demanding specifications for Bobcat quality and performance.” More Comfort When it comes to comfort and convenience you can’t beat Bobcat equipment. The innovative advanced cab on a Bobcat loader gives you a great view all around from the operator’s seat, including the ability to see the bucket when you’re dumpingit. Entry and exit is easy thanks to a large front opening. The rear pivot seat bar also provides plenty of room for larger operators and also serves as a convenient arm rest. The deluxe cab includes top and side windows that remove quickly without any tools, interior cab foam, a dome light and an electrical power port for your cell phone. When operating Bobcat excavators you’ll appreciate the two-piece foot pedals for controlling travel and boom offset functions. The travel pedal can be folded to provide more foot room and can be used as a foot rest. VersaHandler telescopic models, with their standard fullyenclosed heated and air conditioned cabs, are high on comfort and convenience, too. The low-mount boom gives you a full 360-degree view of your work area. More Options You can outfit Bobcat equipment with an extensive variety of options and accessories to further improve productivity, comfort and convenience. Depending on model, you can also equip Bobcat loaders with options such as a fully-adjustable suspension seat, factory-installed heating and air conditioning, counterweights for increased lifting ability, severe duty and super flotation tires or steel tracks for special site conditions, and a tilttatch or a three-point hitch for greater attachment versatility. Be sure to check out the hydraulic Power Bob-Tach™ system. It lets you switch between many Bobcat attachments without leaving the cab. More Training Resources Bobcat Company also offers the industry’s most comprehensive training in safe, productive operation, and proper maintenance and service procedures. More Service and Support Bobcat dealers are among the best in the world when it comes to providing prompt, knowledgeable service to help maximize your uptime. They back this up with factorytrained service technicians, a large parts inventory and dedication to keeping you and your Bobcat equipment working productively.
