(GWINNER, N.D. — February 2018) Doosan Bobcat North America has donated approximately five acres of land in Gwinner, North Dakota. The gift to the City of Gwinner will help transform undeveloped land into a baseball field, benefiting countless families and children in the community.
“The timing is wonderful for the community,” said Dan McKeever, Mayor of Gwinner. “The additional space will allow us to improve our city and expand our parks. This project represents a significant enhancement to our city’s recreational hub.”
The new land donation will be adjacent to the current Gwinner City Park and will take place in four stages, beginning in April. The baseball diamond, which will be known as Bobcat Field, is scheduled to be completed this summer. The City of Gwinner’s plans for the donated land include a new pool, parking lot and camping area to be completed over the next eight years.
“On behalf of Doosan Bobcat, we are happy to provide this donation to the City of Gwinner for its citizens and community members,” said Rich Goldsbury, president of Doosan Bobcat North America. “Giving back to the community where we do business is something we take great pride in and is a key part of our corporate social responsibility. We are pleased to help make this possible.”
