These selected schools and classrooms can use the grants to help with a variety of projects supporting STEM initiatives. Designing robots, coding and using drones are just a few of the hands-on projects planned by grant recipients.
Projects will be completed during the 2018-19 academic school year and will be designed to improve, advance and enrich student learning. This one-time grant will help students apply STEM concepts they are learning in school to solve problems, using some of the same technologies and tools utilized in the workplace.
“At Doosan Bobcat, we want to help our communities grow and prosper,” said Stacey Breuer, director of corporate communication and public affairs at Doosan Bobcat North America. “One of the ways we can do this is by investing in STEM education. Students are the key to our future, and we want to continue to create jobs for students who are interested in careers in engineering, computer science and other related, technical fields.”
