Bobcat Loaders Celebrate Consecutive Wins in 2020 LCO & HRV Awards
Posted: 15 April 2020
Bobcat is proud to announce that the company’s T590 compact track loader has won the 2020 Lowest Cost of Ownership (LCO) Award in the Loaders Compact Track category for a second consecutive year. Having won the Award for the MT55 in 2018, Bobcat has proven to be the dominant force in the category for the past three years.
The Bobcat S70 skid-steer loader also triumphed in the 2020 LCO Awards, winning the Skid Steer Loaders Small category for the third year in a row. The company’s smallest loader has also been awarded the Highest Retained Value (HRV) Award in 2020, giving testament to the longevity and quality of its machines. Last year’s HRV Award went to the Bobcat MT55.

Commenting on Bobcat’s continued success in the LCO and HRV Awards, Jiri Karmazin, Loaders Product Manager Doosan Bobcat EMEA, said: “It speaks for itself that we are proud to win these awards consecutively. They are a testament to the outstanding quality and durability of our machines and illustrate why even after more than 60 years, the Bobcat compact loader range continues to be the market leader. Awards like this are part of the motivation to keep improving our products and bring new innovations to the market. By doing so, we are confident to continue our excellent performance in the LCO and HRV Awards in the coming years.”
The Bobcat T590 and S70 Compact Loaders
The Bobcat T590 compact track loader belongs to a range of loaders that has a proven track record of reliability and workmanship. Its compact size and manoeuvrability, as well as its excellent ground hugging abilities make it the perfect tool for performing a wide range of tasks in harsh and wet conditions. The large range of available attachments adds to the popularity and versatility of the machine.
The introduction of the new M-Series loaders in 2020 shows Bobcat’s intent to keep improving on the company’s bestselling products. All compact loaders in the 500 Series will see a revamp in 2020 and build on the legacy set by their predecessors. Thanks to the loaders’ new Stage V engines, customers will benefit from higher torque and better performance. Lower noise levels, air-conditioned cabs, high flow hydraulics and better maintenance access will further increase the comfort of the new 500 series.
The S70 is the smallest model in the Bobcat skid-steer loader range. With its small dimensions, the S70 model can access sites with narrow openings such as gates, alleys or aisles. The Stage V engine also allows the machine to operate in highly regulated emission zones. The S70 is ideal for work in tight areas where larger machines cannot manoeuvre effectively.
Continuing the legacy of Bobcat’s smallest loader and showcasing its dedication to innovate, the company has unveiled the battery powered S70e loader concept machine at the recent Conexpo fair in Las Vegas. Electrically powered machines have the potential to revolutionize the compact equipment industry. Bobcat plans to be the first to engineer an all-electric loader.
The Awards
The LCO and HRV Awards are the industry’s only accolade of their kind, based on empirical data regarding the long-term cost of heavy and compact equipment. They are organised by EquipmentWatch, a world leader in data, software and insights for the heavy equipment industry. Nominees are recognised within 15 different categories of machine that exhibit the lowest cost of ownership over a five-year span. The HRV Award winner represents the model, within its respective equipment type, projected to retain the highest percentage of its original value after a five-year period. Total cost of ownership is one of the most important aspects that buyers take into account when they purchase equipment.
