Do not compare a forklift and a telehandler on rated capacity alone. A forklift is built for vertical lifting and fast, repeated cycles. A telehandler combines lift height with forward reach and rough-terrain mobility. The right choice comes from the load you must handle at the actual height, radius, and working surface.
