More Power, Smarter Operation: Bobcat Presents the New L100 and Updated L85 Compact Wheel Loaders at GaLaBau

Published on: 15 September 2026

Bobcat is presenting the all-new L100 (1.0 m³ bucket capacity) and the updated L85 (0.8 m³) compact wheel loaders for the first time at GaLaBau in Nuremberg in Germany — at the Bobcat booth in Hall 7, Stand 7-334 — from 15–18 September 2026. Both models feature a redesigned operator’s workstation, a wide range of application-specific options for landscaping and horticulture and significantly higher hydraulic performance.

Compact wheel loaders in landscaping are under pressure every day: completing many work cycles, dealing with changing ground conditions and often very limited space. The new L100 and the L85 are built for exactly that. They are intuitive to operate from the first shift, deliver high breakout forces for clean penetration and keep the bucket steady even on uneven terrain.

Two Models, One Principle

With the new compact wheel loaders, the bucket volume is already indicated in the model name: 1.0 m³ in the new L100 and 0.8 m³ in the L85. Both machines are delivered as standard with a heated cab, adjustable steering wheel, automatic parking brake, joystick integrated into the seat and a high-resolution display. In addition, they can be tailored specifically for landscape construction, municipal operations or material handling through application-oriented options.

Redesigned Workspace: Everything Within Reach, Without Changing Grip

The centrepiece of the redesigned cab is the way the attachments are controlled via the joystick: up to four attachment functions can be operated directly via the joystick without the hand having to leave the joystick. The optional 5-inch colour display provides access to advanced settings:

  • Three selectable drive response modes adjust acceleration, braking and forward-reverse switching according to the respective application
  • The working mode maximum speed is infinitely adjustable between 8 and 16 km/h
  • With automatic ACD attachment recognition, the machine automatically recognizes connected Bobcat attachments and adjusts the assignment and logic of the attachment control on the joystick according to the respective attachment type

Three additional assistance functions provide relief in everyday work: the automatic ride stabilization system stabilizes the machine while driving by activating the boom suspension via an integrated hydraulic accumulator, keeping the bucket steadier and reducing material loss. The return-to-position automatic function stores the bucket position and recalls it at the push of a button and joystick movement. The bucket shake function facilitates emptying even with sticky materials. Engine auto-stop and adjustable working group speed round out the package.

Flexible on the Road, Robust on the Construction Site

The L85 and L100 compact wheel loaders can be ordered in three speed variants: 20, 30 or 40 km/h, suitable for registration requirements and application profile. An optional hitch up to 3.5 t with electrical socket simplifies the transport of equipment between construction sites. For demanding operating conditions, an additional counterweight, a reversible cooling fan to prevent dust clogging, protective plates and a ground protection kit are available as options.

Maintenance, Warranty and Fleet Management

For maintenance and service, both models follow the principle of simplicity: a single service point covers the machine and engine, which noticeably saves time and coordination effort in daily workshop operations. The Bobcat Machine IQ telematics system is standard. It transmits operating data in real time, enables remote diagnostics and allows remote activation or engine lockout. This makes it equally useful for theft protection and fleet management. The standard warranty of 2 years or 2000 operating hours can optionally be extended to up to 5 years or 6000 operating hours, which is increasingly becoming the decisive argument in the calculation of leasing costs and residual values.

30 Bar Higher Pressure: Noticeably Higher Attachment Performance

The auxiliary hydraulic pressure has been increased from 205 to 235 bar (+15%); for particularly power-hungry attachments such as angle brooms, snow blowers or multipurpose sweepers. The High Flow option with up to 103.5 l per minute is also available. The Quick Tach™ quick coupler system is standard; optionally, the Bob Tach™ system as well as 7 and 14 pin connections further extend attachment compatibility. In practice, this means that hydraulically driven attachments work more powerfully and reliably, breakout forces increase and compatibility with a wider range of tools improves.
