New Bobcat Products Make Debuts at Intermat 2018
Posted: 25 April 2018
At Intermat 2018, Bobcat is presenting a wide range of new products for the first time at the show. These include the arrival of Bobcat’s exciting new R-Series compact excavators from 2-4 tonne for markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), offering an unbeatable combination of the high performance that Bobcat equipment is famed for and superb machine controllability.
In addition to the new product launches, Bobcat is celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the world famous Bobcat loader at Intermat. Over the last sixty years, Bobcat’s commitment to outstanding quality, workmanship and innovation has helped to maintain its market leadership, so that one in every two skid-steer loaders sold today is a Bobcat machine.
At Intermat, the new compact excavators present the latest stage in the diversification of the Bobcat portfolio that has taken place over the last six decades. The new R-Series is a great example of how the company has fused true Bobcat DNA and extensive know-how to allow the latest products in the Bobcat portfolio to redefine industry standards.
Solutions for Every Application
To better meet customer expectations, Bobcat is showing a multitude of solutions at Intermat for nearly every application. Organized around a central display celebrating the 60th Anniversary (featuring a heritage Bobcat Clark 825 model), the Bobcat stand in Hall 5b presents key application areas, covering material handling, earthmoving (dominated by the new R-Series excavators), landscaping, demolition and road work. The company’s loader, excavator, telehandler and attachment products are arranged in these areas to demonstrate customer needs. Last but not least the different areas also display Doosan Portable Power (DPP) air compressors, lighting systems and generators. Complementing these are the thrilling live shows on the company’s outside demonstration area, which are traditionally one of Intermat’s highlights.
In addition to the new R-Series excavators, visitors to the stand and outside demo area can see the latest addition to the market-leading Bobcat loader range – the top-of-the-range T870 torsion suspension compact track loader. Another debutant at Intermat is the TL30.70 compact telehandler, providing a maximum lift capacity of 3 tonne and a maximum lift height of nearly 7 metres. Intermat also demonstrates why Bobcat is a leader in loader attachments with the widest portfolio on the market. Several new attachments are being launched including self-levelling planer attachments and the new WS-SL20 wheel saw.
New R-Series Redefines Industry Standards
The new range of five compact excavator models – the E26, E27z, E27, E34 and E35z – offers a best-in-class mix of high digging forces, superb stability and smooth controllability of working functions complemented by low weights for easy transportation. Excellent machine fit and finish plus new ground-breaking design features will make the new Bobcat R-Series unique on the market.
The R-Series utilizes newly developed flexible machine platforms that allow different configurations of models and specifications to suit a wide range of applications and customer needs. In addition, while taking engineering and productivity to unheralded heights, the development team for the new machines has ensured they offer greatly enhanced operator comfort and functionality and the best fit for key applications.
Supported by over 30 years of experience as one of the major players in the market, the new 2-4 tonne compact excavator range has been designed by the Bobcat European Innovation Center for customers in Europe. Numerous innovations include, for example, the market-leading all-around visibility cab and the new minimal effort joysticks offering further enhanced controllability and smoothness of working functions. The operator also benefits from up to five independent auxiliary hydraulic circuits and a new industry unique ‘Selectable Auxiliary Control’ (SAC) system for customizable joystick controls. The new E26 model includes a revolutionary Cylinder-Inside-Boom (CIB) design concept for maximum hydraulic cylinder protection.
New T870 Compact Track Loader
The new 5-link torsion suspension undercarriage in the T870 minimizes rocking when lifting a load high or when performing grading tasks. With the new Bobcat undercarriage, there is no trade-off between comfort and performance. An additional link on the rear axle stabilizes the system to decrease rocking or bouncing and increase productivity.
The T870 torsion suspension machine offers 10% more lift capacity than the previous roller suspension model. It is available with a wide range of standard and optional features and in a range of configurations to match emissions and specification requirements for all Europe, Middle East, Africa, Russia and CIS markets.
New TL30.70 Compact 7 metre Telehandler
The TL30.70 provides an excellent cost-effective alternative to larger 7 metre models, especially where working spaces are tight and increased maneuverability is required. With the new model, Bobcat has completed the full range of products from the company for the telehandler market – all made in France.
The TL30.70 offers outstanding performance with a maximum reach of 4 metres with a load of more than 1 tonne. At the maximum lift height, users can lift up to 2 tonne of weight, which is sufficient to place a pallet of heavy bricks in most conditions. The compactness and stability of the TL30.70 makes this machine a perfect tool for easy pick and go or for lifting materials to height on housing and commercial property developments. The TL30.70 telehandler is a very cost efficient solution (ideal for but not limited to rental companies) - especially when equipped with the 75 HP engine (without AdBlue/DPF).
Bobcat Attachments and Parts: End-to-end Solutions in Every Area
Both the static display and the demonstration zone for Bobcat at Intermat 2018 are promoting the company’s market leadership in loader attachments. There will be several new Bobcat attachments launched at Intermat including two new additions to the company’s current portfolio of self-levelling planer attachments – the PSL50 (50 cm width) and PSL120 (120 cm width) planers – for use with Bobcat high flow compact loaders.
Bobcat offers customers many advantages in the attachment market, including the company‘s One-Stop-Shop approach; the service support of the vast Bobcat dealer network and engineering approval, ensuring that all Bobcat attachments are optimized for efficiency, performance and greater productivity.
Visitors to the stand also have a chance to see the Bobcat Clark 825 heritage machine. This remarkable machine is there to illustrate the company’s history and commitment to its customers – whilst it is 40 years old, the machine is still fully functional using Bobcat Genuine Parts and ready to do any tough job.
Jemylia Raimbault, Senior Marketing & Training Director for Bobcat in EMEA, commented: “Intermat 2018 is giving the opportunity to Bobcat EMEA to showcase, application by application, how relevant our machines are to overcome the operator’s daily challenges. These can involve harsh environments where downtime is simply not accepted, or they can be located in limited access areas or even require an incredible variety of different jobs, i.e. attachments. Bobcat machines are definitely built for this, they are tough, agile and versatile.”
