Bobcat Machine IQ Telematics System is a Must for Transports I Excavacions Jocar in Spain
Posted: 8 November 2024
The Bobcat Machine IQ telematics system connects customers and dealers to information on all Bobcat machines with the system installed, anytime, anywhere and from any device.
Transports i Excavacions Jocar (Mataró-Barcelona), a company specialising in earthworks, landscaping and construction, owns eight Bobcat machines: five mini-excavators (E10z, E17z, E34, E50 and E88), two S570 skid-steer loaders and a T86 compact track loader, all of which are equipped with the Bobcat Machine IQ Telematics System.
According to Oriol Mora, Manager of Transports i Excavacions Jocar: “The models we purchased most recently already had the Bobcat Machine IQ system installed on them and when we tested it, we decided to equip our other machines with the system.”
“We first heard about it from our regional dealer, ITT Bobcat Of, and when the salesperson took us through the functionalities of the system, rolling it out on all our machines was a no-brainer. There are two versions, standard and premium, and we opted for the second, more advanced version, as the additional functions it offers are well worth it.”
The Machine IQ telematics system allows the company to track the working hours per day, diesel consumption, starting and shutdown times, fault codes and, most importantly, it gives them immediate troubleshooting steps, which allows the company to communicate with the dealer for assistance. Sometimes a simple phone call is all it takes to solve the problem.
Simple, Intuitive and Practical to Use from the Mobile or the Office
Oriol Mora added: “I can easily access it from my mobile, while the office can access all the data via the Machine IQ portal. Push notifications warn me of everything that happens on the machines in real time, whether it is their location, fault codes or hours in use. I use it mainly to track the performance of the machines, operating hours, location, or fuel consumption. From the office, we pull up the reports and the moment I receive a notification on my mobile, I can act on it. Naturally, we intend to put this system on all Bobcat compact equipment we purchase in the future.”
“The Machine IQ system is simple to use and intuitive. Like all apps used in the world today, it takes some time to get used to, but once the user gets the hang of it, it’s very easy. In terms of security, it allows us to know the whereabouts of all machines, plan jobs, etc., or detect faults that can be serious, and warns us and tells us what to do at all times. For me, this system is essential and necessary and I can’t imagine why a Bobcat user wouldn’t want it or use it.”
Connectivity offers Support, Peace-of-Mind & Customer Satisfaction
The Machine IQ system was created to provide a better, higher quality and more proactive service for customers.
Bobcat Machine IQ is a solution that, in addition to being useful to the customer, allows dealers to monitor customer machines, including location, operating hours and maintenance codes. This tool makes it easier for dealers to ramp up their service.
Ferran Recio
Business Manager for ITT Bobcat OF
“It increases the number of customer touch points, provides real-time visibility on customer machines to enable service-level improvement and allows us to contact the customer before a planned maintenance interval, after receiving a critical code (proactively to avoid downtime) or to avoid major breakdowns. Connectivity is a source of confidence for customer and service satisfaction.”
“For us as a dealer, it helps us to make the relationship with customers run smoother and also to reinforce our culture of excellence in the service we provide, while giving our customers a tool to track jobs and, above all, improve security in terms of machine theft or breakdown.”
