Mower Cutting Deck Differences of TufDeck, TufDeck Pro & AirFX

Published on March 17, 2023

There’s a lot that goes into engineering the perfect cut, and no matter which Bobcat® mower model you choose, you can rely on toughness and innovation that takes care of the work fast while ensuring beautiful results. Bobcat offers three different cutting deck options: the TufDeck™, TufDeck Pro™, and AirFX™. Options vary depending on the model. Ron Scheffler, Bobcat senior product manager, shows you the key differences of each mowing deck option.

Tufdeck Cutting System (ZT2000 Series)

The TufDeck system is a chain-hung cutting deck with a bullnose design with air-rotation suction for the grass to meet the blade at the high-point for a clean cut. It includes 4-bolt steel fabricated spindle assemblies and double wave bolt-on baffles under the deck with steel fabricated belt covers for durability. Learn more details about the TufDeck system in the video.

Tufdeck Pro Cutting System (ZT3000 & ZT3500 Series)

The TufDeck Pro system has the same cutting deck as the standard TufDeck mowers with the bullnose design.  But it has 6-bolt, cast-aluminum spindle assemblies for professional grade durability. Toolless steel fabricated belt covers allow for easy cleaning, service and maintenance–that keep you mowing job after job. Learn more details about the TufDeck Pro system in the video.

Airfx Cutting System (ZT6000, ZT6100 & ZT7000 Series)

The bullnose AirFX cutting deck features a deep deck design that increases vacuum, lifting grass up to the cutting blade for a superior quality of cut. Tough construction, including 6-bolt, cast-iron or steel fabricated spindle assemblies, and the bolt-on, air-gap baffle technology stand up to the toughest commercial-level workloads and durability – that keep you mowing job after job.

Bobcat® zero-turn mower cutting decks deliver a quality of cut virtually no other zero-turn mower can.
