• LED vs Metal Halide: LEDs are more energy efficient, longer lasting and more durable than metal halide lamps. Metal halide lamps have lower upfront costs but cost more to operate, have shorter lifespans and are more prone to damage. 
• Power needs: If the application would also benefit from power generation, choose a light tower that offers both light and power. Match kW rating to your jobsite power demands (e.g., 6 kW or 8 kW).

1. Inspect unit (fuel, oil, damage). 
2. Stabilize on level ground; lower jacks and chock the wheels. 
3. Raise mast and aim lights. 
4. Starting engine: 
   1. PREHEAT (if cold), 
   2. Start engine by turning the key on the control panel. 
5. Turn on main breaker. 
6. Turn on lamp switches.

  The PL80 has all the same features of the PL65 and provides additional on-board power, 8kW, for jobsites that require both lighting and powering hand tools or small equipment.
