HOW TO CHOOSE LOADER BUCKET ATTACHMENT
The right Bobcat loader bucket helps your skid-steer loader, compact track loader, mini track loader, small articulated loader and compact wheel loader finish faster with cleaner results. Start with the task, then match bucket style, size and options to your material and machine.
Pick the Bucket Style
- Standard-Duty Loader Bucket: Everyday digging, loading and backfilling with clean carry and fast cycles.
- Heavy-Duty Loader Bucket: Thicker shell, reinforced cutting edge and wear bars for abrasive material and rough ground.
- Severe-Duty Loader Bucket: Maximum structural protection for high-impact jobs — added gussets and wear guards for demolition and rocky sites.
- Light-Material (High-Capacity) Loader Bucket: Larger volume profile to move mulch, snow and other light materials faster.
Size for Performance
Choose a width close to your loader’s outside tires or tracks for efficient grading, and keep total load (bucket plus material) within the machine’s rated operating capacity.
Consider material density and geometry – good rollback and dump angles reduce spillage and make cycles faster.
Edge and Wear Options
Run bolt-on cutting edges to protect the base edge on paved sites; add tooth bars for penetration in compacted ground. Side cutters, heel plates and wear bars protect high-wear zones and extend life.
Confirm Compatibility
Verify Bob-Tach® or Power Bob-Tach® mounting for quick changeovers. Match duty level (Standard, Heavy, Severe) and width/capacity to your loader and material. For mini track loaders (MTL) and small articulated loaders (SAL), select the General Purpose bucket sized for your machine.
