HOW TO CHOOSE ADAPTERS FOR ATTACHMENTS AND IMPLEMENTS

The right Bobcat® adapter makes your existing implements easier to use and your equipment more versatile. Start with the machine you’re running, then decide how you want to connect and switch rear tools.

What Machine Are You Running?

Your carrier is the first decision point:

  • Loaders and Toolcat utility work machines: Skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders and Toolcat models that use the Bob-Tach mounting system.
  • Compact and utility tractors: Machines with a Category 1 or Category 2, 3-point hitch that run rear implements.

From there, you’re either adapting loaders to use 3-point implements or making tractor implement changes faster.

When to Choose a 3-Point Adapter

Choose the 3-point adapter attachment if you want to run 3-point implements from your loader or Toolcat utility work machine.

The 3-point adapter:

  • Connects Category 1 and 2 implements that meet ASAE quick-hitch standards.
  • Uses the Bob-Tach mounting system for fast hookup on compatible loaders and Toolcat utility work machines.
  • Includes an adjustable top link for different implement geometries.
  • Adds a 2-inch receiver so you can move and position trailers with your loader.

Pick this option when you own (or plan to own) 3-point implements and want your loader or Toolcat utility work machine to handle mowing, grading, tilling and towing jobs.

When to Choose a Quick Hitch

Choose the Quick Hitch tractor implement when you want to speed up rear implement changes on your compact tractor.

The quick hitch:

  • Attaches to your tractor’s Category 1 or Category 2 3-point hitch.
  • Lets you back up, hook and go without wrestling individual pins.
  • Is compatible with most Category 1 implements that are quick-hitch-ready.

This is the right choice when you’re frequently switching between rear implements like mowers, blades and cutters and want faster changeovers and less time on the ground.

Quick Checklist

  1. Machine type: Loader/Toolcat utility work machine (3-point adapter) or compact/utility tractor (quick hitch).
  2. Implement category: Category 1, Category 2 or both, and whether implements are quick-hitch compatible.
  3. Tasks: Need loader versatility with 3-point tools and trailer towing, or faster tractor implement swaps.

Once you know your carrier and implement mix, your local Bobcat dealer can help confirm compatibility, so your adapter shows up ready to work from day one.
