CONCRETE AND ASPHALT ATTACHMENTS

A concrete attachment is a work tool that mounts to a compatible Bobcat® machine to help mix, place, cut or remove concrete with more control and efficiency than manual methods. Depending on the job, concrete attachments can support tasks like mixing and pouring footings, pumping concrete into forms, or milling hardened concrete for repair and resurfacing.

An asphalt attachment is a work tool that mounts to a compatible Bobcat® machine to help cut, mill, spread or prep asphalt for patching, repairs and resurfacing. Asphalt attachments are commonly used to create clean edges, remove damaged material, and lay or distribute patch material with more consistency. 

Concrete and asphalt attachments are used for cutting, trenching, resurfacing, mixing and placing material on jobsites where precision and productivity matter. Common applications include utility trenching in pavement, curb and sidewalk repair, pavement milling and surface prep, asphalt patchwork, driveway and parking lot repair, small-batch concrete pours for footings and pads, and placing concrete into forms or hard-to-reach areas with a pump.

Bobcat concrete and asphalt attachments are used on approved Bobcat carriers such as skid-steer loaders and compact track loaders, with select tools also available for other compatible platforms depending on the attachment type. Because requirements vary by model (mounting interface, hydraulic flow and machine capacity), always confirm the specific attachment is approved for your machine before you buy or run it. 

Concrete attachments: Built for mixing, placing and finishing concrete – and for cutting or removing cured concrete when you’re repairing. Think mobile concrete mixers for on-site batching, concrete pumps for placing material into forms or hard-to-reach areas, and planers or wheel saws when you need controlled removal or trenching in hardened surfaces. 
  
Asphalt attachments: Built for surface prep, trenching and patchwork so you can repair and restore pavement with clean edges and consistent material placement. Planers and wheel saws help remove damaged asphalt or cut narrow trenches for utilities, while spreader-style tools help distribute material evenly for repairs and resurfacing. 
  
Some jobs cross over – like trenching through mixed pavement sections or surface prep that includes both asphalt and concrete – so the best attachment choice comes down to the material, the cut depth/width, the finish you need and your carrier’s hydraulic capabilities. 

Planers need a hydraulic flow package that matches the planer model and the cutting performance you expect – standard flow for lighter milling, high flow for more demanding removal, and super flow for maximum production. 
  
Standard Flow: Best for lighter-duty milling and surface cleanup when you’re making shallower passes, doing spot work or running smaller planers. Standard flow will cut and texture concrete or asphalt but production can drop when you push into harder material, deeper cuts or wider planers. If you’re trying to remove a lot of material fast, standard flow may require more passes and slower travel speed. 
  
High Flow: A strong choice when you need more hydraulic horsepower to maintain drum speed under load. High flow helps planers stay productive in deeper cuts, harder asphalt, cured concrete and higher-demand repair work, especially when you’re milling longer runs or doing frequent jobs where time matters. 
  
Super Flow: Built for maximum planer performance when you’re chasing the highest production rates. Super flow supports more aggressive cutting, helps maintain speed in tough material and is typically the right fit for larger planers and high-output work like heavy resurfacing prep and high-volume pavement removal. 
  
No matter the flow package, the “right” answer is the one that fits your carrier’s hydraulic capability and the planer’s required flow range. Always confirm the planer’s flow requirements and your machine’s available auxiliary flow (and cooling capacity) on the model specs or with your Bobcat dealer before you run it.
