WEST FARGO, N.D. (Dec. 2020) – Doosan Bobcat North America has awarded seven grants totaling $3,500 to middle school classrooms for projects focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). In the past seven years, Doosan Bobcat has awarded more than $41,000 in grant money to schools in communities where its employees, dealers and customers live and work.
“The foundation of our company was built on innovation, which is why we strongly believe in supporting STEM-related education,” said Stacey Breuer, director of corporate communication and public affairs. “By awarding Doosan Discovery Grants, we help bring STEM to life and fuel students’ curiosity to build the technology of tomorrow. These students are our future innovators who will move our communities and businesses forward.”
Grant money will be used for the following projects at several North Dakota and Minnesota schools:
Projects will be completed during the 2020–2021 academic school year and will be designed to improve, advance and enrich student learning. This one-time grant will help students apply STEM concepts they are learning in school to solve problems, using some of the same technologies and tools utilized in the workplace.
