How to Choose

BOBCAT IMPLEMENTS

Choosing the right implement starts with the job you need to do and the conditions you work in. Grading a gravel drive, mowing a pasture, prepping seedbeds or clearing snow all demand different working widths, duty ratings and power requirements. When you match the implement to the task, your tractor stays efficient, stable and productive.

Next, confirm compatibility with your tractor’s setup. Many implements connect through the 3-point hitch, while others also require PTO power to run moving components. Your tractor’s hitch category, lift capacity and PTO horsepower help determine what you can run safely and effectively.

Working width matters, too. A wider implement can cover more ground per pass, but it also adds weight and can increase power demand – especially in thick grass, heavy snow or tough soil. For tighter spaces, gates and landscaped areas, a narrower width may deliver better control and fewer do-overs.

QUICK CHECKLIST

  • Task: mowing, grading, driveway maintenance, soil prep, cleanup or snow removal
  • 3-point hitch category: Category 1 vs Category 2
  • Implement power needs: 3-point only vs 3-point + PTO-driven
  • Tractor match: lift capacity and PTO horsepower (if PTO-driven)
  • Working width: property size, access points, obstacles and desired coverage per pass
  • Conditions: packed gravel, wet soil, rocky ground, slopes or heavy vegetation
  • Duty rating: occasional property use vs. frequent, heavy workload
  • Setup needs: driveline/shields (PTO), ballast, adjustments and any quick-hitch considerations

If you want the simplest path, pick the job first – then verify fit and requirements for your specific tractor with your local Bobcat dealer.
