Small Articulated Loader

Small articulated loaders deliver precise maneuverability. The articulation joint enables the rear tires to match the path of the front tires as they turn, resulting in a highly nimble machine that navigates around obstacles with ease and works well in enclosed yards and small work zones.

With their tight-turning articulated steering and light overall footprint, Bobcat® small articulated loaders limit cuts or tears in the turf when turning or hauling a load. After the job is complete, you’ll have fewer time-consuming surface repairs to make. 

Bobcat® small articulated loaders can lift and handle heavy loads, and they include a standard integrated counterweight for optimal lift capacity. You can add on optional rear counterweights to further increase lift capacity and productivity.

Small articulated loaders are highly transportable and relatively lightweight, enabling you to quickly get your machine to the job and get to work. They easily fit on pan trailers or dump trailers – and even some enclosed trailers that are used to transport small-frame skid-steer loaders.

The dependable 25-hp, 2600 rpm engine provides generous torque at a lower rpm, offering performance that is more forgiving when pushing the machine to its limit under load.

With their efficient cooling systems, Bobcat small articulated loaders offer leading performance for improved operation and component protection.

Side and front inlets bring cool air into the engine compartment and send it through the screened rear exit. The rear radiator screen is removable for easy cleanout, and its corrugated steel construction provides excellent durability. A separate temperature-controlled hydraulic oil cooler operates as needed to ensure quieter operation as well.

The telescopic cylinder is synchronized with a hydraulic leveling link, providing leveling assist and preventing spillage over the back of the bucket. When handling materials up high, many small articulated loaders allow the bucket to roll back toward the cab, causing material to spill. Any bit of dirt that spills out of your bucket can add up to lost productivity over time. Bobcat small articulated loaders make operation easier by maintaining optimal bucket rollback at full height and reducing material spillage.

Based on operating conditions, Bobcat® small articulated loaders automatically enable one of two traction modes – High-Traction mode for control over rough and slippery terrain or Turf-Safe mode for the least possible ground disturbance. The optional traction assist switch enables you to momentarily override the automatic modes to travel through adverse conditions.

To protect the machine when working in tight areas and around obstacles, Bobcat® small articulated loaders have cab corner protection. Rubber bumpers help protect the cab’s corners while articulating the loader.

Add additional protection – and worry less about potential impact damage to the cooling package and radiator – by installing the optional rear guard accessory.

A simple twin-pedal design on small articulated loaders enables quick and easy direction changes: one pedal moves you forward, the other moves you in reverse. 

This style of travel control is easy for operators to master, making the small articulated loader a great choice for seasonal employees or rental customers. It’s also convenient and simple for operators who need to understand controls for multiple machines. 

Small articulated loaders include side and rear windows that open to provide fresh airflow through the cab, providing added comfort for the operator. The cab can now be optioned to include a sliding side window making it easier to control cab ventilation, providing another option for communication with bystanders and improved comfort.

Compared to other small articulated loaders, the interior of Bobcat models is engineered with more space for the operator, with special attention paid to cab height, foot room and room between the seat and the steering wheel. You’ll enjoy more room which leads to better productivity during long hours on the job.

The steering wheel and joystick are simple to reach and intuitive to use, with fingertip auxiliary or telescopic controls that facilitate quick, simple operation – as compared to mechanical switches.

Bobcat® small articulated loaders also provide variable flow control similar to skid-steer and compact track loaders, unlike the standard mechanical levers found in other machines. 

Add the optional cab enclosure with the heated seat and you’ll stay comfortable and productive in cold and wet weather. The heated seat helps keep your body warm and comfortable while clearing snow or working in frigid temperatures. Strategically placed, louvered vents help quickly defrost windows and provide direct heat to operators, providing versatility for tackling more work during winter months. A rear defrost window can now be added to all cabbed models to help quickly clear windows of frost or condensation. Automotive-style rear defroster helps maintain visibility in varying weather conditions. Window panels can be added or removed, giving you added flexibility to adapt with the weather to keep operators comfortable in every season.

Small articulated loaders feature an easy-to-read, backlit instrumentation panel that provides visibility to operating information, critical machine errors and warnings.

Bobcat small articulated loaders are designed to make daily maintenance and regular service easy and efficient. They feature easy access to the battery terminal, a high-capacity air filter for long life, a maintenance-free engine accessory drive belt and centrally located access to fuses and relays.

The dual-element, high-capacity filter with visual indicator is one feature that makes Bobcat® small articulated loaders easy to maintain. The air filter delivers clean airflow to your engine and excellent contaminant-holding capacity for long life and maximum component protection.

Fuses and relays on Bobcat small articulated loaders are centrally located behind a cover inside the cab.

Bobcat® small articulated loaders feature the Bob-Tach® attachment mounting system for using a variety of attachments. They can also be equipped with the optional Power Bob-Tach system for changing non-hydraulic attachments without leaving the comfort of your cab.

For even more attachment possibilities, Bobcat® small articulated loaders include auxiliary hydraulics. A maximum flow of up to 12 gpm and up to 2,900 psi gives you powerful performance and superb work results. Pressure-release quick couplers relieve system pressure for easy hydraulic hookup and removal.
