Bill Hattan Finds Purpose with Bobcat Equipment

When Bill Hattan lost both his legs in an accident, he had a decision to make. He decided he wasn’t going to let it stand in his way. Today, he owns and operates a construction business where he relies on Bobcat® equipment to do precise and intricate landscaping work.  

He uses a Bobcat E50 compact excavator and a Bobcat S770 skid-steer loader and says the hand controls (selectable joystick controls), which is a Bobcat signature feature, are his saving grace.   

Bill also notes that Bobcat makes it so easy to run the equipment which he appreciates because it allows him to focus on the job, on the final result.  

When operating his Bobcat equipment, Bill says he found his passion digging with the E50 and feels free. He is productive and provides value versus sitting in a chair doing nothing.
