Engine Service & Maintenance

Labeled diagram showing component placements in a Bobcat loader with inline engine, including air filter, fuel filter, hydraulic oil filter, accessory belts, and engine oil check and fill points.

Inline Engine

Bobcat inline engines provide a durable direct-drive system that ensures high performance in a compact machine profile.

All key checkpoints are conveniently positioned  for fast, ground-level maintenance. Check or service the air filter, fuel filter, engine oil, battery jump terminal, and hydraulic fan filter in seconds. Even accessory drive belts like the alternator, A/C and water pump are easy to inspect.

Transverse Engine

Machines with a transversely mounted engine offer proven performance and durability. The engine drive belt, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, and fluid checkpoints are all within easy reach at the rear of the loader. You’ll also find the battery conveniently placed for jump starts or maintenance. This layout keeps common service tasks fast, visible, and accessible.
