Bobcat Machine IQ Wireless Communications Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement was last updated and effective as of August 4, 2025.

Bobcat Company (“we” or “us” or “Bobcat”) is providing you this statement because your Bobcat machine is equipped with a telematics system or you have received a telematics system accessory. The telematics system transmits information about the equipment, including its condition and operational data, to Bobcat Company and its dealers and partners.

Bobcat takes the privacy of your personal information very seriously. Any personal information collected will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

Please review this entire Privacy Statement carefully.  We may revise this Privacy Statement over time. If we make material changes, the changes will only be posted on www.bobcat.com/telematics-privacy and we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.

Information Collected From You

We collect certain categories of information that is deemed “personal information” in connection with our telematics system. This information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Equipment model and serial number
  • Equipment location
  • Engine hours
  • Engine performance data (e.g. engine speed, engine oil temperature and pressure, and fault codes) 
  • Hydraulic performance data (pressure and temperature) 
  • Fuel level and usage 
  • DEF performance data (level, concentration, and temperature) 
  • Other diagnostic or performance data 

Bobcat Company can determine the identity of an owner or operator of a piece of equipment through the use of telematics information and other data.

Your Ability to Choose

The information collected from you helps us communicate with you in addition to the uses identified in this Privacy Statement. It is your choice to provide us this information.

How We Use and Share Your Information

Bobcat Company, its affiliates, and dealers may use the telematics information from your machine, in combination with such customer-identifying information to:

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations and as part of legal proceedings 
  • Safeguard people and property 
  • Protect our legal rights or interests and those of third parties, including financing partners to whom you have given written consent to obtain such information 
  • Satisfy agreements with you for support, maintenance, service, and parts 
  • Monitor equipment performance 
  • Improve the performance of Bobcat Company’s telematics services 
  • Respond to questions and comments from you 
  • Conduct market research 
  • Perform benchmarking 
  • Notify you of promotions and other offers 
  • Prepare for a merger or acquisition that may be contemplated by Bobcat Company or its affiliates 
  • Conduct certain activities as requested by you 

Bobcat Company does not sell your information.

Customer-identifying information will only be used in according to applicable laws, regulations, consents given by consumer in other agreements, such as equipment financing agreements with lenders, and privacy agreements. Bobcat Company may use Machine IQ Data that does not identify an individual for any business purpose permissible by law.

Bobcat Company and its affiliates and dealers may share your telematics data, but we will only disclose information for legitimate business or legal purposes.

We may also disclose information to respond to legal requirements or requests, enforce our policies, and protect the rights, property and safety of Bobcat Company. Such information will be disclosed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

We will disclose information to law enforcement, governmental agencies, or third-parties authorized by law, in response to a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity or any other activity that may expose us, you, or any other user to legal liability.  We may disclose your personal information, any communications sent or received by you, and any other information that we may have about you to prevent, investigate, identify persons or organizations potentially involved in activity that appears to us to be illegal, or that we believe may expose us to legal liability.

Additionally, we may disclose personal information in situations that we believe to be emergencies involving potential threats to the physical safety or any person or property if we believe that the information in any way relates to that threat. In such events, we will disclose any information that is relevant and necessary to the investigation or to prevent injury or illegal activity.

In the event we are engaged in or contemplating a merger or other corporate acquisition with another business entity, personal information may be disclosed to and would likely be acquired by the other business entity.

Safeguarding Your Information

We take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the telematics information. These steps include safeguards in our policies, processes, and systems. We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect your telematics data against unauthorized access or misuse.

You may opt-out of sharing Machine IQ system data with Bobcat Company by contacting your dealer or additional contact methods mentioned in this Privacy Statement.

Your Rights

You have several rights in relation to your personal information under applicable privacy and data protection law, which may be subject to certain limitations and restrictions. Depending on your country or state of residence or domicile, you may have other legal rights over the information we collect from you and your machine(s). We will honor all such rights as required by applicable law.

You have the right to access or update your personal information in our records, subject to limited exceptions set out under applicable law. To do so, you must provide suitable proof of identity and ownership.

California Privacy Rights

To the extent that we collect personal information that is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), that information, our practices, and your rights are described below.  For details on the personal information we collect about California residents, the sources of that information, our business or commercial purposes for collecting that information, and the third parties with whom we share that information, please refer to the corresponding sections of this Privacy Statement.

If you are a California resident, you have certain rights, pursuant to the CCPA. These CCPA rights may only apply in certain circumstances and are subject to certain exemptions.   • Right to Know – You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose and/or sell about you. To protect our customers’, we are required to verify your identify before we can act on your request.
  • Right to Delete. You have the right to delete personal information that we collect or maintain about you. To protect our customers’, we are required to verify your identify before we can act on your request. We may have a reason under the law why we do not have to comply with your request, or why we may comply with it in a more limited way than you anticipated. If we do, we will explain that to you in our response.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of any of your CCPA rights. However, we may offer certain financial incentives, charge reasonable fees related to your requests, or deny your right to know or right to request deletion in accordance with applicable law.

You have the right to know if we process your personal information and to access the specific pieces and/or categories of personal information that we collect and maintain about you. Additionally, some jurisdictions allow you to obtain a list of the categories of third parties that we have disclosed your personal information to as well. Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will disclose to you the information that we are required to produce. However, certain exceptions may exist as to what personal information we are required to produce. If we are not required to produce certain personal information or an exception exist under applicable law then we may inform you of the categories of data that we have not produced, when required by applicable law.

When exercising your right to know, you also have the right to obtain the personal information in a portable readily usable format that allows you to transmit the data to another entity. However, certain exceptions may exist under applicable law to our duty to provide you with your personal information.

You have the right to delete personal information that we have about you, subject to certain exceptions under applicable law. Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will review your request to see if any exceptions exist to your request. We will delete or anonymize personal information, based on your request and not subject to one of these exceptions from our records and we will direct our dealers and partners to take similar action, when required by law.
