From grading and lifting to powering specialized attachments, Bobcat loaders are designed for smooth, responsive performance across multiple applications. With multifunctioning capabilities, you can travel, lift the arms and tilt the bucket at the same time. Advanced hydraulic control and drive management systems provide steady, predictable movement, while available adaptive features let you adjust performance to suit the work ahead — so you can handle every job with precision and confidence.
Ergonomics
BUILT FOR PERFORMANCE. TUNED FOR COMFORT.
Intuitive control placement and low-effort operation help reduce fatigue, so you can maintain consistent precision and productivity throughout the day. No matter who’s in the seat or how long the shift, every movement feels natural and efficient.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are Bobcat controls?
Bobcat offers three types of control systems to match your preferences and workload:
- Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC): Fully electronic, pattern-selectable ISO/H controls with advanced customization and operator features including speed management, horsepower management, steering drift compensation and drive response mode. .
- Standard Hand & Foot Controls: Classic mechanical setup with direct feedback through levers and pedals—no electronics.
- Standard Controls with EH Pedals: A hybrid system with mechanical feel plus electronically assisted features like drive response modes.
What is controllability?
Controllability is how naturally a machine responds to your commands. It’s that sense of seamless connection—when your loader moves exactly how you expect, with zero lag and full precision. True controllability combines responsive controls, refined machine design, and balanced performance. From slow, fine movements to quick shifts and turns, Bobcat loaders are engineered to feel like an extension of you.
What are Selectable Joystick Controls?
Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC) give you high-performance control with minimal effort. You can switch between ISO or H-patterns, customize drive and workgroup response, and activate features like auto throttle, speed management, and steering drift compensation. It’s the most advanced joystick controls option Bobcat offers—built for all-day operators who demand efficiency, adaptability, and fingertip precision.
What are Hand and Foot Controls (standard controls)?
These classic controls connect directly to the pump and valve—no software involved. Use foot pedals to control the lift arm and bucket, and hand levers to control the machine movement (like driving, turning and speed).
What are the differences between Selectable Joystick Controls and Hand and Foot Controls?
Joystick controls offer low-effort operation, customizable settings, and advanced tech features designed for long days and demanding work. They reduce arm movement and fatigue. Joysticks are used for both travel and lift/tilt functions.
Hand and foot controls deliver mechanical feedback and a direct connection to your machine using both joysticks and foot pedals for operation. They’re ideal for operators who prefer simplicity, legacy feel, or want to avoid software-based systems.
Both are tough. Both are capable. It just depends how you like to run the show.
What are fingertip controls?
Fingertip controls are integrated on the loader’s joysticks and let you precisely manage attachment functions without taking your hands off the joysticks. Control hydraulic flow using a thumb toggle for variable speed—or engage continuous flow at full power with a trigger press. Whether you’re using an auger or running a mulcher, fingertip controls make it easy to stay focused and fully in command.
