Every Bobcat® loader is engineered with a cooling system built to protect what powers your work. Choose between two purpose-built cooling systems depending on the model—premium cooling or standard cooling. Each is matched to your machine, your jobsite and your workload. Standard cooling provides time-tested capabilities while models equipped with premium cooling deliver even greater protection for high-demand attachments and extreme conditions. Both systems are built for durability, with protected cooling locations that keep components safe and easy to service.
Premium Cooling
Bobcat compact loaders equipped with the premium cooling system are built to stay cool in high-demand conditions and long workdays. A larger variable-speed fan and high-capacity radiator improve airflow through the in-line engine compartment for efficient performance. On high-flow models, larger hydraulic hoses and tubelines allow oil to move with less restriction, keeping operating temperatures low. Combined with intelligent power management, this system helps protect critical components, reduce wear, and deliver lasting durability in the toughest environments.
Standard Cooling
The standard cooling system delivers dependable temperature control and easy maintenance. The dual-path airflow design draws cool, clean air from above and directs warm air out the sides, away from the operator. The Bobcat-exclusive SmartFAN automatically adjusts speed based on engine temperature to conserve power and reduce noise, while an optional reversing fan clears debris to maintain airflow in dirty conditions. With components protected between the frame uprights, this system keeps your machine cool, clean, and ready for work.

Premium Cooling

In-Line Engine Orientation
The in-line engine layout allows for a larger, more efficient cooling package and directs airflow across critical components. As air moves through the louvered tailgate and over the engine, heat is dispersed — keeping your loader running cooler during long, demanding jobs.
High-Capacity Radiator
A high-capacity radiator maximizes heat dissipation to maintain optimal operating temperatures. This durable design provides steady performance in high-demand environments, helping extend component life and reduce downtime for your machine.
Large Variable Speed Fan
The large, variable-speed fan automatically adjusts to engine temperature, delivering the right amount of airflow when it’s needed most. It cools more efficiently at lower speeds, conserving power and reducing noise while maintaining consistent performance—even under pressure. Add-on the reversible fan option to help remove debris from air pathways.
Protected Cooling Location
Located between the frame uprights, the cooling package is well protected from jobsite hazards and debris. This placement not only prevents costly damage but also keeps the rear of the engine easily accessible for quick maintenance checks.
Premium Power Performance
Large Hydraulic Hoses
On high-flow models, larger hydraulic hoses and tubelines allow oil to flow with less restriction, resulting in cooler operating temperatures and better long-term durability. This efficient design helps protect the entire hydraulic system during continuous, high-output work.
Available on T76 and S76 when equipped with high-flow. Standard on T86 and S86.

Dual-Path Cooling System
The dual-path cooling system draws cool, clean air from above the loader and pushes warm air out the sides—away from the operator and key components. This efficient airflow design maintains proper engine and hydraulic temperatures, helping your machine perform smoothly in all working conditions.
SmartFAN
The Bobcat-exclusive SmartFAN automatically adjusts its speed based on engine temperature, delivering the airflow you need without wasting power. The system cools efficiently and quietly, keeping you focused on the job. For dusty or debris-prone environments, an optional reversing fan automatically clears air pathways to prevent air flow restriction.
Protected Cooling Location
Positioned between the frame uprights, the cooling package is shielded from jobsite hazards while remaining easy to service. This strategic placement protects the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler from damage and simplifies routine maintenance to keep your loader running strong.
