The in-line engine layout allows for a larger, more efficient cooling package and directs airflow across critical components. As air moves through the louvered tailgate and over the engine, heat is dispersed — keeping your loader running cooler during long, demanding jobs.

A high-capacity radiator maximizes heat dissipation to maintain optimal operating temperatures. This durable design provides steady performance in high-demand environments, helping extend component life and reduce downtime for your machine.

The large, variable-speed fan automatically adjusts to engine temperature, delivering the right amount of airflow when it’s needed most. It cools more efficiently at lower speeds, conserving power and reducing noise while maintaining consistent performance—even under pressure. Add-on the reversible fan option to help remove debris from air pathways.

Located between the frame uprights, the cooling package is well protected from jobsite hazards and debris. This placement not only prevents costly damage but also keeps the rear of the engine easily accessible for quick maintenance checks.

Exclusive to the S86 and T86, premium power performance actively monitors hydraulic temperatures and automatically adjusts pump flow and pressure to maintain efficiency. By reducing wasted power and excess heat, this system enhances reliability and keeps your loader running at peak performance. 

On high-flow models, larger hydraulic hoses and tubelines allow oil to flow with less restriction, resulting in cooler operating temperatures and better long-term durability. This efficient design helps protect the entire hydraulic system during continuous, high-output work. 

Available on T76 and S76 when equipped with high-flow. Standard on T86 and S86. 

The dual-path cooling system draws cool, clean air from above the loader and pushes warm air out the sides—away from the operator and key components. This efficient airflow design maintains proper engine and hydraulic temperatures, helping your machine perform smoothly in all working conditions.

The Bobcat-exclusive SmartFAN automatically adjusts its speed based on engine temperature, delivering the airflow you need without wasting power. The system cools efficiently and quietly, keeping you focused on the job. For dusty or debris-prone environments, an optional reversing fan automatically clears air pathways to prevent air flow restriction.
